Lucie, our Founder and Creative Director, established About You Gift Box (aka "AYGB") in the heart of the Waikato to provide a luxury gift box solution locally and beyond. With a background as a high-end restaurant owner in her native Czech Republic and a management role with one of the Waikato’s finest gift stores, Lucie has always had a creative eye for quality and design which she is excited to bring to life through About You.
Our Vision
Lucie's vision was to create gifting experiences that feel personal, intentional, and memorable. She saw an opportunity to curate luxury gift boxes that are as special to receive as they are to give - thoughtfully designed to send a message of genuine appreciation, care, and warmth to the recipient.
The company name, About You, reflects the two “Yous” in the gifting equation: the sender and the receiver. Lucie believes the giving experience is a moment for both parties to savour, enjoy, and be energised by, making both sides critically important to the gifting experience.
Curated with Care
Lucie has spent time sourcing unique and interesting products from across New Zealand and beyond, with the goal of creating gift boxes that provide a new and memorable experience for the recipient. Each gift box is meticulously curated in our studio with products from talented artisans and boutique makers, ensuring every gift feels distinctive and one of a kind.
She has curated gift boxes for all occasions from milestone celebrations and heartfelt gestures to refined corporate gifting. Every detail is considered so you can give with confidence and pride.
